Daisy LaVerne Anderson

Services for Daisy LaVerne Anderson, 86, born March 16, 1931 to Mark and Daisy Hanna, are to be held at Croley Funeral Home on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. She has been a resident of Gladewater most of her life and passed peacefully in her home on December 21, 2017. Her final resting place will be at the Gladewater Memorial Park.

LaVerne was a graduate of East Texas Baptist University where she received a degree in Education. She was a teacher for many years and loved working with children. She also enjoyed reading, spending time with family and her beloved cat Callie.

She is survived by her sister Doris Whisen; son Mark Barnhill, Sr and wife Terry; grandchildren Mark Barnhill Jr., Jason and Carmen Watkins, Reece and Claudia Barnhill; great-grandchildren Samson Black and Walker Barnhill.

LaVerne is preceded in death by husband Louie Anderson, sister Ruth Cass, and great-grandson Cameron Reece Barnhill Jr.
