Jeanne "Gertie" Geraldine Stephens

Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne “Gertie” Stephens, 92, of Gilmer will be celebrated 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Longview with Msgr. Xavier Pappu officiating. Rosary to be recited at Friday, November 10, 2017 at 5:30 P.M., visitation to follow at 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer under the direction of Croley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stephens passed away on Wednesday, November 08, 2017 in Gilmer, Texas. Jeanne was born to Martinus Wolfs and Francisca Henriette on April 5, 1925 in Nuth, Holland.

Jeanne married Arlyn Stephens on December 29, 1944 in Heern, Holland and worked for Ragland, Fenlaw, Ford Clinic as a receptionist for many years. Mrs. Stephens was also a member of the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.

Jeanne is survived by sons; Alexander Michael Stephens and wife Gayle of Kountz, TX, Robert Patrick Stephens of Vineland, NJ, Arlyn L. Stephens, Jr. and wife Susie of Longview, daughters; Jeanne Attaway and husband James of Nacogdoches, Mary Pritchett and husband George of Gilmer, Patricia Stephens and wife Anna Rosenblum of Boston, MA, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother; Micheal Wolfs, and sisters; Rosa Hendricks, Ella Hendricks, and Johnnie Wolfs.
