Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Earline Jones,71 of Big Sandy, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, April 28, 2017 Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas.
Mrs. Jones was born on February 28, 1946 to Johnny Saylors and Bessie Lyons Saylors in Dallas, Texas. She lived in Upshur County for 40 years and was a homemaker, a doll collector and loved all animals.
Mrs. Jones is survived by sons, James Jones and his wife, Janie of Big Sandy; Terry Jones and his wife, Patricia of San Antonio; daughters, Tammy Armstrong and her husband, Dean of Gladewater, Tena Johnson and her husband, Paul of Pritchett and Samantha Cruz of Pritchett; grandchildren, Chris and Justin Arden, Cody Jones, Skyy Talbert, Jessica Hancock, Dustin Johnson, Brody Johnson, Vanessa Jones, Kyle Butler, Dillon Butler, Christopher McNally, James Richard Jones, Jr., Eric Armstrong, Richard Armstrong, Sasha Copeland, Carmen Cruz and Clarissa Cruz; 24 great grandchildren; and also her beloved dog “Lil Man”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Jones, Sr.; son-in-law, Charles Cruz; two sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Jones will be Cody Jones, Christopher Arden, Dustin Johnson, Heith Hancock, Vanessa Jones and Ruben Sosa.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
