William H. "Toby" Tuel

Funeral service for William H. “Toby” Tuel 81 of Gilmer will be Monday, January 8, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Chaplain Jim Liberacki officiating. Interment to follow at Enon Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Sunday, January 7, 2018 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home. William passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at his residence.

William “Toby” was born October 12, 1936 in Gilmer, TX to the late JM and Martha Attaway Tuel. Mr. Tuel lived his whole life in Upshur County and married the love of his life, Geraldine Austin Tuel on January 6, 1954. They were married 63 years, just one day shy of 64 years together. William “Toby” was a welder building water towers and tank, he was also of the Baptist faith.

William “Toby” is survived by his wife; Geraldine Tuel of Gilmer, daughters; Cindy Tuel of Ore City, Nina Tuel Barrett and husband Bob of White Oak, brother; Charles Tuel of White Oak, grandchildren; Amanda Salter of Virginia, David Bain of East Mountain; Jessica Langley of Dallas, and great grandchildren; Jonah Benrose of Hawaii, Ethan Hickey and Asa Hickey both of Virginia, and Daniel Mundell of Dallas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother; Troy Tuel, and sister; Barbara Robinson.
