Adra Kay Meadows

Services for Mrs. Adra Kay Meadows, 65, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M, Friday, January 7, 2011, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Richard Laster officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Meadows passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Houston. She was born December 30, 1945, in Gilmer to Quinton and Mary Ludell Barrett Floyd. Mrs. Meadows was a social worker for the State of Texas until her retirement and a member of the Wesleyan Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Harold Meadows of Gilmer; daughters, Christy Meadows of Gladewater, Adra Barnes and her husband, Tony of Gilmer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Mike Loyd of Gilmer, Lana and Mark Barton of Gilmer; grandchildren, Jerad and Heather Barnes of Gilmer, Alex Barnes of Gilmer; great grandchildren, Matthew and McKayla Caldwell, Mason and Maddux Barnes all of Gilmer; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 105 N. Montgomery, Gilmer, Texas 75644.
