Adrian "Shorty" Abundiz

Graveside service for Mr. Adrian "Shorty" Abundiz 53, of Big Sandy, Texas will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park with Father Cesar Beeancout officiating. Shorty passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Dallas.
Shorty was born September 8, 1967 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico to Julian Abundiz and Amparo Martinez. He married Ofelia Perez Gallegos on March 23, 1992. They were married for 28 years. Shorty worked as a ranch hand for Time Out Ranch and the Sanders Family for many years. He attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Gilmer.
He is survived by his wife, Ofelia Abundiz; father Julian Abundiz; mother Amparó Martinez; Daughters: Elda Grogan and husband, Royce; Mayra Abundiz; Darlene Abundiz; Sisters: Amelia, Irma, Lilia, Josefina, Olimpia Abundiz, and Dora Serrato; Brothers: Ramiro, Julian II , and Rodrigo Abundiz; 3 Grandchildren: Ailani, Jose Uriel, and Ansley Ponce.
The family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
