Alfred Wesley Harris

GILMER- Funeral Services for Alfred Wesley Harris, 79, of Gilmer will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Donnie Points officiating. Interment will follow at East Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Harris passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 in Gilmer. He was born on August 22, 1936 in Gladewater, Texas to A.W. "Doc" and Jessie Mae Medlin Harris. He was a crane operator and a member of the Oak Grove Assembly of God church. Mr. Harris is survived by his sons, Steven Harris and wife, Tissha of Sulphur Springs and Johnny Harris and wife, Becky of Gilmer; daughters, Debra Harris of Gilmer, Sheila Potter and Freddy Roberts of Gilmer; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maureen Harris; son, Ronald Wesley Harris, and his daughter-in-law, Kathy Ann Harris. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
