Alice Carlma Carroll

Alice Carroll, 97, of Quitman, Texas passed away peacefully, October 20, 2018 in Quitman. Arrangements for Mrs. Carroll are under the directions of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.

Mrs. Carroll was born May 19, 1921 in Edsville, Mississippi to the late Gus Ward and Lottie Gilbert Ward. Alice was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years before retiring. One of her favorite things she enjoyed was spending the day shopping and having dinner out with family and friends. She dearly loved her family and will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Robert B. Carroll, Jr. and wife Jessica of Evanston, Wyoming; daughter Sue Caldwell of Quitman, Texas; grandchildren Teri Blake, Beth Allison, Nicki Donnelly, Candice Carroll, Jason Sandlin, Jimmy Sandlin, Carina Johnson, Sheryn Washington, Jason Johnson; seven great grandchildren, 10 great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Alice is preceded in death by her husbands Robert B. Carroll and Hubert Lee Lewis; beloved daughter Sandra Sandlin, grandson Gary Caldwell and granddaughter Hannah Grace Sandlin.
