Annetta Johanna Richardson

A Memorial service for Mrs. Annetta Johanna Richardson, 82, of Ore City will be held 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Tony Pierce officiating. Mrs. Richardson passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Ore City, Texas after a long struggle with Alzheimer"s. Born April 7, 1933 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to John and Henrietta Klooster Cook, she met and married Osel Richardson on July 7, 1950. They raised six children together before his death on June 7, 1982. After 20 years working at Good Shepherd Medical Center in housekeeping, she retired and returned to her home in Ore City. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren learn and grow. Reading and crossword puzzles were a big part of her life. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. She is survived by her sons; Benny Richardson and his wife, Kellie of Pritchett, John Richardson of Ore City; 3 daughters, Carol Stanley of Diana, Sharon Richardson of Harleton, Barbara Hayden and her husband, Alan of Ore City; thirteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters, Lily, Joyce and Mary Jane; two great grandchildren, Hank and Jo McDowell. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregiver, Mika Hayden.
