Gladewater -- Born on October 14, 1926, Audrey Dee Rogers Grigg died on March 23, 2014, in Denton, Texas. She was lovingly surrounded by family when she peacefully left for her heavenly home on Sunday evening.
She was born in Breckenridge, Colorado, to Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Rogers. She grew up in Bellflower, California, with her older sister, Eunice, and her younger brother, Glenn. She briefly attended ACU then married the love of her life, Bob Grigg Sr. They were married for 63 years.
Dee was a homemaker, a secretary, worked for the Chamber of Commerce, a print shop and worked in a factory. She was an avid maker of sweaters, scarves, afghans, and many other creations for her family and friends. She loved to put puzzles together and loved to tease. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Carriage House and having good times with her family and friends.
Dee loved being married to a preacher and being a missionary in France and Belgium. They lived in many places, including, California, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, Belgium and France. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Dee is survived by her sons Ted Grigg and his wife Susie, Bob Grigg and his wife Patti and daughter Marie (Jean) Wood and her husband Ricky, and Etienne Arki; grandchildren, Tina, Teresa, Brandon and his wife Rebecca, Stephanie and her husband Lee and Josh; her great-grandchildren, Zach, Gabriel, Ethan, Sofia, Maddox and Liam; her sister Eunice Jared; and many nieces and nephews. Dee is preceded in death by her husband Bob Grigg Sr.; her brother, Glen Rogers; her son, Oliver Arki; her parents; and her great-grandchild, Levi.
Services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014. at 2 P.M. at the Gladewater North Loop Church of Christ. There will be a viewing between 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church before the services begin. The burial will take place immediately after the service at Gladewater Memorial Park.
