Services for Becky Jo Laney, 83 of Gilmer will be held 11:00 A.M, Monday, May 9, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. David McGee and Bro. Jeff Karlson officiating and interment will follow at Enon Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas. Mrs. Laney passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 in Longview. She was born May 30, 1928, in Gilmer to James Hamilton and Izora Loftis Duke. Mrs. Laney was the owner of Laney Drapery Shop and a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Diane Laney of Lancaster, Texas, Harold and Donna Laney of Gilmer, Paul and Laura Laney of Hawkins, Lynn Laney of Wellington, Ky, Matthew Laney of Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mike White of Big Sandy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Lou Duke of Garland, Kenneth and Glenda Duke of Gilmer, Wendell and Connie Duke of Gilmer, Larry and Ruth Duke of Gilmer; sisters and brother-in-law, Jessie Wilson of Longview, Dorothy and Wray Warren of Winnsboro; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Laney was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert "Peck" Laney. Pallbearers are Stephen Laney, Wayne Laney, Alex White, Dylan Murphy, Michael Laney, Brad Laney, Daniel Laney and Chad Laney. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
