Belvah Jane Eatherton

Funeral services for Belvah Jane Eatherton, 82, of Gilmer will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Andy Plunk officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Eatherton passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, at a Gilmer nursing home. Mrs. Eatherton was born April 17, 1929 in Upshur County, Texas to Tom and Mary Massoletti McCurry. She married Jack Eatherton, October 24, 1947 by Judge Calvert Willis. A marriage, that God joined together and spanned 64 years and four months. Mrs. Eatherton was a retired sales clerk for J.B. Whites and Hudgins department stores and a member of Cherokee Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jack Eatherton of Gilmer; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Edward and Dawn Eatherton of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Larry Player of Gilmer; brother, Neal McCurry of Bettie; sister, Wanda Corley of Gilmer; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson, Samuel Thomas Eatherton; her parents; and two brothers. Pallbearers will be Marty McCurry, Mike McCurry, Sonny Eatherton, Steve Sansom, Pat Downing and Milton Wiley. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
