Benard Ray Russell

Due to the current public health situation and mandates set in place for COVID-19, a private family graveside service will be held at Hopewell Cemetery for Mr. Benard Ray Russell.

Mr. Russell will be in a visiting room at Croley Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. for anyone who would like to come by.

Mr. Benard Ray Russell, 74, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, was born in Gilmer, Texas on November 19, 1945 and passed away on May 1, 2020 at his home in Vicksburg. Mr. Russell married Sandy Elledge on January 30, 1982, together they were married 38 years. He worked as an Authorized Nuclear Inspector for Factory Mutual for many years and he could often times be found playing golf, fishing, or hunting.

Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Sandy Russell of Vicksburg, MS; son, Mark Allen Russell of McKinney, TX; daughters, Tina Trevino of Bay City, TX, Melissa Lee of Ganado, TX, Karen Russell of Riverside, CA, and Robin Russell of Athens, TX; four sisters; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Tucker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Pearl Warren Russell; and brothers, Richard and Gene Russell.
