Betty Abston

Funeral services for Betty Abston, 80, of Gladewater, will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 in the chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas, with Brother Randall Hodges officiating, interment will follow at Gladewater Memorial Park in Gladewater. Mrs. Abston passed away peacefully at her home in Gladewater, Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

Mrs. Abston was born September 10, 1937 in Shaw, Mississippi to the late Warren T. Hanks and Lorice O’Bryant. She married Frank Abston on December 18, 1955 in Greenwood, Mississippi. Betty was a secretary for Greyhound for many years. She was a loving wife and sister and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Frank Abston; brothers Herman Hanks and wife Dolores, James Hanks and wife Sandra and Jerry Hanks; brother-in-law Kent Marshall, as well as numerous other family members and dear friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, sister Warrene Marshall.
