Betty Jane Terry

Betty Arrington Terry, 86, passed away on September 11, 2022, in Waxahachie, TX.

Betty Terry was born on May 26, 1936 in Gilmer, TX, to her loving parents, Lorenzon and Addie Arrington.

Betty married Wayne Terry on Valentine's Day. She adopted the role of mother to 3 children, Carla Stanley, Wayne McWhorter, Kathy Terry.

Betty was best known for the love she had for her beloved husband and children. Family was very important to her, and she would make sure to load her children up every weekend and drive from Arlington to Gilmer to visit their extended family. She was also known for her great sense of humor. Betty had a special place in her heart for animals, especially for her black lab, Angel, and then her little Chihuahua, Petey. She was a very creative cook, making delicious dishes out of random foods and spices. She would spend hours crocheting, and she really liked to shop.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Carla Stanley and Kathy Terry, and her son, Wayne McWhorter.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Terry; father Lorenzo Arrington; mother, Addie Arrington; brothers, Garland, Jack, Billy and Guy Junior Arrington, and her sisters, Dorothy Rancilio, Faye Green and Juanita Pierce.

The service for Mrs. Betty Terry will be held on Thursday, September 15th, at 2:00 P.M. at Enoch Cemetery, Texas.

Visitation: Thursday, September 15, at 1:00 - 1:45 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas.
