Bettye Kathryn King

Funeral service for Mrs. Bettye Kathryn King, 79, of Gilmer, TX will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, interment to follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Mrs. King passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in Longview.

Mrs. King was born on September 15, 1939, in Gilmer, Texas to the late Espie O. "Dink" and Ellie Corine (Martin) Lambert. She married Wayne King in Ft. Worth on November 26, 1959. Bettye proudly took care of her home and raised her family; she was also a faithful member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Mrs. King is survived by her daughters, Kathy Neal and her husband, Jeff, Nancy Marak and her husband, Stephen; sons, Byron King and his wife, Jennifer, and Russell King; sisters, Margie Nell Dickson, and Mona Rae Roden; grandchildren, Brandon and Brooke Watkins, Dillon King, Jared and Matthew Neal, Adam and Chelsea Marak; and great grandchildren, Kylie Watkins and Aurora Curtis.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Gilford King; her parents; brothers, Martin Franklin Lambert, Macklyn Lambert; and sister, Ommaette Lambert.
