Billy Wayne Arrington

Mr. Billy Wayne Arrington, age 85, of Longview, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Billy was born in Gilmer on May 26, 1936, to the late Lorenzo Guy and Addie Lou Walker Arrington. He married Betty Jean McCurry Arrington on October 3, 1981, in Forney, they enjoyed 37 years together. Billy was a supervisor at the water department for the City of Longview and after his retirement he loved to piddle outside working on cars and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Arrington; as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish is memory are son, Alan Arrington; step sons Tommy Hicks and Donny Hicks (Julie); daughter, Connie Watkins; step daughters, Melvonda Broad and Carolyn Schools; sister, Betty Terry; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Enoch Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Randy Tyree officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers for the service are great grandsons, Jamie Michael Broad, Mason Michael Broad, Jace Braden Khan and Peyton Blu Broad.
