Graveside services for Brenda Kay Morris, 61 of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2012 at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Bryan Faulkner officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Brenda passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012, in Longview, Texas. She was born on June 13, 1951, Gilmer to Alvin C. and Fayrene Langford Wilkerson. Brenda married John Morris on March 4, 1967, in Latch, Texas. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, John Morris of Gilmer; parents Alvin and Fayrene Wilkerson of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Jory Morris of Latch, Timothy and Rebekah Morris of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Richard Davis of Franklin, NC.; brothers, Terry Wilkerson of Cooper, Texas and Tony Wilkerson of Bangor, Maine; sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla and Leon McCauley of Latch Community; Eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
