Carl Luther Mace, III

Celebration of Life services for Carl Luther Mace, III, 54, of Gladewater will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at The Blue Byrd Room in Gladewater. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Carl passed away Friday, December 13, 2019, at his home in Gladewater.

Carl was born June 7, 1965 in Akron, Ohio to Carl Luther Mace, Jr. and Sally Anne Cunningham Mace. He enjoyed playing pool at home, working on cars, 3-D printing, watching races, listening to his record collection, and spending time with his family and friends. He worked for Quantum Plastics in Gladewater as a Senior Technician and Supervisor. Carl was a NASCAR fan and especially a Dale Earnhardt fan. He along with his friends annually enjoyed the Fred Lobster Race. Carl had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was very unassuming and quiet; but had a great sense of humor. Carl leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity and will not be forgotten by his loving family and friends.

Carl is survived by his parents Carl Mace, Jr. and Sally Cunningham Mace; sisters Debbie Mace Phillips and husband James and Juli Garner and husband Joey; brother Stephen Alicandro Mace and wife Jade; nieces and nephews Troy, Maci, Lukas, Liam, Yuri, Chelsea, Colten, Jolee, Josee, Jayson, Jayci, Azure and Cedar; other loved ones Curtis Latham, Christi Latham, Caylan Latham and Courtney Latham, Heath Stevens, Scott Williamson, Ricky Norman, as well as many other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends do an act of kindness in honor of Carl. Please write down your act to be added to a Memorial Book being compiled for his parents. The family also asks friends/loved ones to write down a special memory to be added to his Memorial Book.
