Carrie Blasingame Grantham

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Blasingame (Aunt Sissy) Grantham,101, of Bettie will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Dicky Mauk and Bro. Wayne McKay officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Grantham passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, in Bettie. Mrs. Grantham was born November 12, 1912, in Bettie, Texas to Alvin and Esther Winn Blasingame. She graduated from Union Hill High School. Mrs. Grantham was a secretary and member at Oak Hill Baptist Church; she was also a restaurant owner in Bettie, Texas. Mrs. Grantham is survived by her brother, M. N. (Brother) Blasingame of Lafayette, LA and sister-in-law, Jeanne Elliott of Bettie; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers, Dalton, Milton, William(Big),Thomas(Bug),Raymond(Buddy), Olan(Bit), Stanley and Alvin Jr.(Babe) Blasingame; sisters, Ruth Blasingame and Frances Anderson. Pallbearers are Guy Blasingame, Ronnie Blasingame, John McCellon, Marty McCurry, James Johnson, Anthony Bacala, Thomas Blasingame and Larry Cotton. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2014, from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
