~ Services for Charles Michael Dauster, 56, of Union Grove, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at The Church at West Mountain with Reverend Neil Thornburg and Reverend Eric Trimble officiating; interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Charles went home to his Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Charles Dauster was born on November 16, 1959 in Upshur County and spent most of his life there. He attended Union Grove ISD, Clarendon High School and Kilgore Junior College. He has served as a board member for Union Grove ISD and the Upshur County Appraisal District. He greatly enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing and begin with his grandchildren. He worked in the plastic industry for Exopack and Bemis until they closed. He later retired from Aaon Coil as a production supervisor. Charles was a member of The Church at West Mountain. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Dauster is survived by his wife, Yvette Dauster of Union Grove; parents, Larry and Ann Dauster of West Mountain and David Gruber of Gilmer; son, Chris Dauster and wife, Melissa of Gilmer; daughters Brandi and husband, Kevin Cook of Union Grove and Leann Dauster of Henderson; son , J.L. Penny of Dallas, son and daughter-in-law, Taylor and Heather Mayfield of Celina; brothers, Mark Dauster and wife, Debbie of Longview, John Gruber and wife, Robin of Seattle, WA.; sisters, Lysa Mc Carrell and husband, Jeremy of Seattle, WA., Julie VanBuskirk of Charleston, SC., Kay Sorrells and husband, Robert of Gulf Shores, AL; grandchildren: Kolton Ledbetter ( Jessie), Shelby Ledbetter, Madison Waller, Jayden Waller, Laklie Waller, Averi Cook, Elijah Cook, Lily Holmes, Stella Holmes, Harper Holmes; great-grandchild, Kinlee Ledbetter. He was preceded in death by his sister, Toni Cave. The family would like to thank Dr. Larry Frase and the staff at Texas Oncology as well as the staff of Heartsway Hospice for the support given during Charles" battle with Cancer Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater from 5-8 p.m.
