Charles Russell "Chuck" Underwood

Cremation arrangements for Mr. Charles Russell “Chuck” Underwood, 72, of Kilgore are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mr. Underwood passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in Longview.

Chuck was born on May 14, 1946 in Danville, Illinois to the late Rolly A. Underwood and Marie B. Bass Underwood. He worked as a truck driver and steel worker. Mr. Underwood served in the United States Navy. Chuck enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, fast cars and NASCAR. He lived life to the fullest and took advantage of everyday. Chuck was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be truly missed.

Chuck is survived by his two daughters Michele Slack and husband Doyle and Eunice Browning and husband Michael; son James Underwood; brother Carl Underwood and wife Diana; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many other loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son Charles W. “Bubba” Underwood.
