Cindy Kay Welling

Celebration of Life services for Cindy Kay Welling, 70, of Gladewater, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Reverend John Sewell officiating. Mrs. Welling passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, in Longview.

Cindy was born September 9, 1950 in Longview, Texas to the late Clarence Carl Davis and Bonnie Laverne Russell Hudson . Cindy earned a Master’s Degree in Education and was an Art Teacher at White Oak High School for 30 years before retirement. She was a caring and devoted teacher whom her former students loved. Cindy’s family came first and she even stepped in to help raise and provide for her grandchildren when needed. She was a wonderful cook and her specialty was her peanut brittle. Cindy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 30 years Ron Welling; daughter Jessica Walker and husband Clay of Gladewater; two brothers Carl Davis and wife Brenda of Ft. Smith, AR and Robert Davis and wife Maria of Ft. Smith, AR; six grandchildren Daelon Welling, Clay Timmons, Madelyn Timmons, Celeste Harris, Caiya Harris and Callie Harris as well as many other loving family and friends.
