GILMER- Funeral services for David Harris Langford, 60, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 6:00 P.M., on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Micah Devendorf officiating. Mr. Langford passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Longview. Mr. Langford was born on April 6, 1956 in Hillsboro, Texas to Johnny and Wilda Langford. He worked for General Dynamics in Kilgore and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the Assistant Scout Master in Boy Scouts Troop 121. Mr. Langford is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Langford of Gilmer; son, Chris Langford and wife Christy, of Stevens City, Virginia; sister, Sharon Langford West and husband Glenn and their children of Abilene, a soon to be grandson named Harmon David Tank Langford (hopefully) and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Wilda Langford, step-mother Charlsie Langford and brother, Art Langford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 152079, Irving, TX 75015 or The Tree Remembers, 25 Valleyview Drive, Suite 200, Middlefield, CT 06455. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
