David "Ty" Johnson

Services for David "Ty" Johnson, 45, of New Orleans will be held 12:00 P.M., Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas with Reverend Huey C. Jones officiating and burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. David passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Longview. He was born on November 25, 1967, in Gladewater, Texas, to Donnie Smith and Helen Johnson. David was a designer and owner of the Okereda Store in New Orleans. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Helen and Ron Simon of Gilmer; Uncles, Bennie Johnson of Big Sandy and David Johnson of Gilmer; Aunts, Glenda Johnson of Denver, Colorado, Felecia Todd of Gilmer, Oneta Turner of Gilmer and Yvette Johnson of Gilmer. David is also survived by a host of friends in New Orleans. A formal visitation is not scheduled.
