Donald Worth Tucker

Mr. Donald Worth Tucker, age 88 of Gilmer, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at his home in Gilmer. Donald was born in the Simpsonville Community of Upshur County on April 11, 1930 to the late Samuel and Opie (Lockhart) Tucker.
Donald married, the former, Geraldine Nichols on September 14, 1948 in Simpsonville, together they had five children. He was a retired millwright for Lone Star Steel, and a member of Concord Baptist Church. He loved to fish, play 42, and his church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mrs. Geraldine Tucker of Gilmer; sons, Rodney Tucker and wife Kathy of Willis, Timothy Tucker and wife Susan of Gilmer; daughters, Vicki Gann and husband Gerald of Gilmer, Debbie Landsdale and husband Larry of Gilmer; brother, Doyle Tucker and wife Yvonne of Deridder, La.; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters, and a son, Donald Worth Tucker, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer, with Bro. Clay Potter, and Bro. Larry Landsdale officiating. Interment will follow at Simpsonville Cemetery in Upshur County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
