Dorla Geurraine Whalen

Celebration of Life services for Dorla Geurraine Whalen, 57, of Gladewater will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Bro. Jack Broadwater officiating. Ms. Whalen passed away Monday, March 16, 2020, in Longview.

Dorla was born September 10, 1962 in Orange, California to Dean Smith and Patricia Hamm. She worked as a rental property manager and owner for many years. Dorla was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother; who will be dearly missed by all her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her son Richard Whalen and wife Mandi; daughter Brandy Vasquez and husband Bronson; brother Eddie Smith; two sisters Cookie Oller and Beth Williams; seven grandchildren Reno Whalen, Sonny Whalen, London Vasquez, Corey Whalen, Cody Moore, Breeanne Warren and Joe Zirkle; great grandson Jaden Whalen as well as many other loving family and friends.

Dorla is preceded in death by her father Dean Smith and a son Skeeter Whalen.
