Dorothy Hughleen Puckett entered Heaven's gates on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the age of 86. She was born on October 3, 1927, in Gilmer, Texas. She then married the love of her life, Fredrick Randolph Puckett on June 19, 1943. Mother was a constant source of love and joy for her children and her family. Her sense of humor and wit kept others laughing all the time. She loved to cook and work in her garden. You could always hear her singing and humming gospel songs throughout the day. You never had to worry about where you stood with Mom because she would let you know real quick. She had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Gladewater, Texas, since 1965 where she was deeply involved in various ministries in the church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, one sister, one brother, a daugher-in-law and one grandson. She is survived by her oldest son, Donald R. Puckett and wife Janie of East Mountain, daughter, Carol Pearson and husband Terrill (Laney) Pearson of Longview, and youngest son Corbitt Puckett and wife Katherine of East Mountain. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grand children; and one brother, Paul Davis and wife Beverly of Gilmer. Funeral services will be at First Assembly of God in Gladewater, Texas, on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. She will be interred at Rosewood Park in Longview, Texas on FM 1844. The family will receive friends on Friday night, January 24, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.
