Douglas Ray Stracener

Funeral services for Douglas Ray Stracener, 75 of Gilmer will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Jason Bass and Bro. Bob Ross officiating , interment to follow at Simpsonville Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Croley Funeral Home. Mr. Stracener passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 in Longview.

Doug was born June 25, 1942 to the late Ovie and Ida (Kinel) Stracener in Camp County and was the owner of Gil-Tex Construction.

Mr. Stracener is survived by his wife, Mary Stracener; son, Joey Stracener; brother, Bernice Stracener and wife Louise; grandchildren, Adam Stracener and wife Hayley, Steven Marshall, Ashli Stracener; and 4 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Stracener; and sister, Jurlene Gwin.
