Earl Eugene "Rick" Chalene

Funeral services for Earl Eugene "Rick" Chalene, 75 of Tyler will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Pete Dugger officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Chalene passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 in a Tyler hospital. Mr. Chalene was born March 24, 1935, in West Lake, Louisiana to Willis and Mable Chalene. He was retired from sales, 32nd Degree Mason St John"s Lodge in Tyler, member of the Gideon"s, veteran of the U.S. Air Force 808 Supply Squadron, received the National Defense Service Medal, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tyler. He is survived by his wife: Barbara Burnett Chalene of Tyler; sons: Ron Chalene, Scott Chalene, and Kennon Chalene; brother: Elliot Chalene; sister: Jean Duggan; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
