Graveside services for Earl Lindsey, 84, of Ore City will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Enon Cemetery in Upshur County with Brother Madison Caffey and Brother Ronnie Ryan officiating. Interment will be in Enon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Lindsey passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at a Longview hospice. Mr. Lindsey was born July 27, 1928 in Diana, Texas, to Robert Lee and Vada Lee Sawyers Lindsey. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired drill and punch press operator for 25 years with LeTourneau Industry. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Davis Lindsey of Ore City; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Madison Caffey of Gilmer and Joyce and Terry Haynie of Carthage; sister, Geneva Phillips of Dallas; nine grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Owens. No scheduled visitation at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
