Funeral services for Mr. Edwin R. Kent, 85, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Larry W. Osborne officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
Mr. Kent passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born on March 21, 1932 in Moulton, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and was a cattleman. Mr. Kent was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Rene’ and Phil Dyer of Gilmer and granddaughter, Brooklyn Dyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Pat Kent.
