Eleanor Rose Pearn

Rose Wilson Pearn, age 76 passed away on July 10th, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. Born December 19, 1934 in Big Sandy, Texas, she was the youngest daughter of Artie B. (Bus) and Ada Lenora (Nona) Wilson. She attended grade school in Big Sandy and in 1953 was an honor graduate of Gladewater High School. She was an LVN and worked in hospitals in Oklahoma and later in Dallas, Texas where she resided most of her adult life. In 2000, she retired from an insurance company where she had worked for years as a pre-certification nurse. Rose"s long time dream had been to return to East Texas where she had grown up and where family members lived. In 2003, this dream was realized when she moved to Longview. Survivors are her son, Greg Ragsdale and his wife Kim Ragsdale of Cason, Texas; daughter, Melanie Wilson and her husband Brian Wilson of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; grand-daughter, Allison Morick and great-granddaughter, Lola Morick of Austin, Texas and grandson, Connor Ragsdale of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her sister Gay Tucker of Big Sandy, Texas and Gay"s children Dana, Stacy and Paul Tucker as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. Services will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas on Saturday, July 16th at 10:00 a.m. The family politely requests that donations be made to the Longview Humane Society in lieu of flowers as Rose loved animals and made donations to the LHS in the past.
