Graveside services for, Elizabeth Jean Still, age 82, of Gladewater will be held on Saturday August 11th 2018 at 10:00 AM under the pavilion at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pritchett Texas, with her grandson Pastor Kenny Joe Word officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday August 10th 2018 at Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In honor of Mama Jean the pallbearers are Dennis Smith Jr, Kenny Joe Word, Micah Morgan, Todd Morgan, Tommy Word, Michael Black, Tony Handy, and Casey Allen.
Jean was born February 19th 1936 in Kilgore Texas to the late Herman and Daisy Taulbee. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Tommy Glenn Still; her son John Robert Morgan and grandsons Christopher Morgan and Casey Wallace. Jean passed into glory to join her Heavenly family on Saturday August 4th 2018.
Jean is survived by her life sister Pat Rector and five children, Peggy Black of Big Sandy, Texas, Leon Word and wife Rita Buchheit of Gladewater, Texas, Sammy and Kay Morgan of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mark Morgan of Longview, Texas, Tanya and Gary Wallace of Big Sandy, and daughter-in-law Debra Morgan of Gladewater. Jean was blessed with twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Mama Jean acknowledged countless others as her own kids and treated them as equals, as if she had raised them herself.
Jean was devoted to the Church of Christ of White Oak before moving to the Gladewater North Loop Church of Christ, pastored by Joe Chase. Jean loved the Lord and she dearly loved her church family.
In lieu of flowers we ask that any donations be made to the Gladewater North Loop Church of Christ Eastern European Mission’s fund.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the wonderful people at Heart to Heart Hospice in Longview Texas, for all the loving care they provided along with a special thanks to the caregivers at Christus Good Shepherd in Longview.
