Elwanda Lynn Callaway Walker

Funeral services for, Elwanda Callaway Walker, age 95 of Gladewater, will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene in Gladewater, Pastor Dean Simmons officiating, visitation will begin one hour before at 1:00 PM at the Church, interment will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.

Elwanda was born on February 1, 1923 in Freestone County to the late Roy and Della (Blanchard) Callaway. She worked as a nursing home administrator at Oak Manor Nursing Home and at Walkers Pharmacy for many years. She was a member of the Gladewater Church of the Nazarene. Elwanda enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and Chicken foot, doing crafts, spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and taking care of her fur-babies.

She is survived by her daughters, Charline Simmons and husband Dean, Cindy Williams and husband Mason; sons-in-law, Max Copeland and Ken Roberts; siblings, Naomi Luby, Thelma Minton, and Roy Callaway; grandchildren, Laura Green, and Sheila Huffman; great-grandchildren, Betsy Thompson, Mase Williams, Lucas Green, Hillarie Holcomb; great-great-grandchildren, Collin Williams, Kaleb Williams, Mason Thompson, Connor Thompson; fur babies, Sally and Miss Kitty; special friends, Lorene Phillips, Sheila Skinner, Pam Buchanan, LelaMay Denny, Jonathan Ray.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Linza Callaway; daughters, Connie Copeland, Lana Roberts, Lecresia Walker, and Tommie Walker.
