Eva Senn Bland

Graveside services for Mrs. Eva Bland, 75, of Gilmer will be held 11:00 A.M, Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer with Bro. Wayne Norvell officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Bland passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Gilmer. She was born December 15, 1935, in Upshur County, Texas to Sandy Ramsey and Madie Jane Walker Senn. Eva graduated from Harmony High School, attended Kilgore College, and on March 16, 1956, she married Thomas Howard Bland in Gilmer. Mrs. Bland was a teacher"s aide until her retirement and a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bland is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dr. Jerald Walton; sisters, Bessie Faye Hill, Myrtie Langford, Bertha McCool, Mary Jo Dean; two grandsons, Daniel Walton and Derek Walton and his wife Jessica; two great grandchildren, Cydneigh Walton and Tate Walton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Howard Bland in 2001 and her brother, Louie Senn.
