Evelyn Overton Chambers

Mrs. Evelyn Overton Chambers, 60, of Gilmer, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Gilmer. She was born on March 19, 1959 in Bonham, Texas to Leonard and Francis Overton. Mrs. Chambers enjoyed raising cattle, reading, and going to the beach to collect seashells. She was also the owner of the Air-Mart, Mrs. Chambers will be greatly missed by many friends and family members.

Mrs. Chambers is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Overton; and brother, John Gonzalez.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Brady Chambers of Gilmer; mother, Francis Overton of Ravenna, TX; sons, Josh Owings and wife, Erika of Aubrey, and Rusty Bledsoe and wife, Claudia of Japan; daughter, Nicole Hodge of Gilmer; brother, James Overton and wife, Janet of Oklahoma; sisters, Mona and Mary Cruz both of Lubbock; and grandchildren, Jacob, Isabelle, and Zayne Owings, and Chloe and Cayle Bledsoe.

Memorial service for Mrs. Chambers will be held at 2:00, Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Pastor Kent Bilnoski officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 Sunday, March 1, 2020 prior to the Memorial service.
