Frank Kovach, Jr.

Frank Kovach, Jr., age 59, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Frank was born in Scranton, PA on July 2, 1961 to Frank, Sr. and Gloria Kieper Kovach. Frank, retiring from the United States Army, proudly fought in Operation Desert Freedom. He married Darlene Thomas on October 18, 1980 and was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Gilmer.
Frank is survived by his wife of 40 years, Darlene Kovach; son Christopher Kovach and wife, Sarah of Marlborough, MA; daughter, Colleen Thompson and husband, Justin of Battle Creek, MI; brother, Charley Kovach and wife, Cathy and David Kovach and wife, Martha all of Scranton, PA; sisters, Leona Stugus, Trudy Delawder, Gloria Herrera all of Scranton, PA, and Anna Baker of Jamestown, IN; and grandchildren, Daniel, Jazmyne and Sawyer Kovach, Finn Despain, and Alyssah Cargill.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Frank Sr. and Gloria Kovach; brothers, Harry Delawder, Ronnie Delawder, John Delawder, Gary Kovach, Kenneth Kovach, and Steven Kovach; and sister, Este Delawder.
Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the New Beginnings Baptist Church; 1977 State Hwy 155 N Gilmer, TX 75644. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
