Funeral services for Frank Richard Carter, 82, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Wayne Norvell officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Carter passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 in Gilmer and was born on May 28, 1934 in Beach Grove, Indiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his sons, Brad Carter and wife, Kathy, Bart Carter and wife, Debra; step son, Gary Hill; grandchildren, Forrest Carter, Crystal Carter, Cameron Carter, Jennifer Carter; great grandchildren, Alexis Carter, Logan Carter, and Dominic Carter. Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his wife, Lena Alma Carter who passed away in 2011; father, Foreman Carter; son, Bryan Carter; step son, Larry Lemons; brother, Junior Carter and sister, Nellie Carter. The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
