Garland Lynn Blackburn

Garland Lynn Blackburn, 62, of Mesquite, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021. He was born December 3, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to the late Charles Blackburn and Mary Moore Blackburn.

After graduating from high school, Garland entered into the United State Marine Corp. After his service, he worked as a mechanic for the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company and was a member of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed his time with family and friends.

Garland is survived by his brother, Danny Blackburn and wife, Tami; niece, Kendra Aslin and husband, John, and Ashley Wallace, and husband, Zachary; great-nieces, Lexi and Annabelle Aslin, and great-nephews, Ayden and Holden Wallace.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in
Gilmer.
