Gerda Sue Boone

Mrs. Gerda Sue Boone of Overton, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her residence. Gerda was born in Tyler, Texas on August 29, 1954 to the late Benjamin Overton and Maggie Womack Seagroves. She is survived by her husband, Billy Dale Boone; children, Willie “Benji” Boone, Tonja Boone, and Trina Boone; grandchildren, Ashley Kati, Jeremy Henderson, Cheyanne Waldon, Courtney Whittle, Morgan McCellon, David Aaron McCellon, Derrick McCellon, Chasity Boone, Breyden Boone, Logan Boone; sister, Carolyn Ryneheart; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service for Mrs. Boone will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, interment to be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home.
