Gertrude Anne "Gerty" Bray

Funeral services for Gerty Bray, 67, of Holly Lake Ranch Community will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Holly Brook Baptist Church in the Holly Ranch Lake Community with Dr. Guy McGraw officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Bray passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 in a Tyler hospital. Mrs. Bray was born December 6, 1944, in Central City, Nebraska to Truman, Sr. and Cecill Martin Galusha. She was a homemaker, retired hairdresser, had been a real estate agent in Nebraska and Texas, and member of Holly Brook Baptist Church. Gerty Bray first met and fell in love with her husband Jack, 55 years ago. Thru their 48 years of marriage she began a career in cosmetology; however her true life"s calling was to raise their three daughters and be a wonderful loving wife. She loved to travel with her husband. She even got to go in her trailer one last time before our Lord called her home. Gerty was always a lady in everything she did you couldn"t have asked for a better wife and mother. She was very proud of her ten grandchildren and looked forward to one day being a great-great-grandma. The hole she has left in our hearts can only be healed by the love and joy that came from knowing her. They were one, then there was; one. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Jack Bray of Holly Lake Ranch; daughters, Sherrie Anne Perry of San Antonio, TX, Bonnie Sue Vines of Lakehills, TX and Janet Kay Bynum of Corpus Christi; brothers, Donald Galusha of Aurora, NE and Wayne Galusha of Dixon, CA; sisters, Phyllis Brasher of Paradise, TX and Betty Cordson of Central City, NE; grandchildren, Kathryn, Justin, Jimmy Jr., Kristen, Katilin, Makayla; Timothy, Tiffany, Trevor and Nathaniel. Preceded in death by her brother, Truman Jr.; sisters, Marietta Mullins, Evelyn Lake and Jean Galusha. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
