Glen Winston Stocks

Memorial services for Mr. Glen Winston Stocks, 83, of Gilmer will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro. Clay Potter and Mike Stocks officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Stocks passed away in his home on May 28, 2015. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Glen was born on December 22, 1931, in Glenwood, Texas, to Arthur Virgil and Lena Mae Stocks. He was a carpenter and pattern-maker, and retired from the Lone Star Steel Company. He enjoyed life and being surrounded by his family and loved spending the summers in Colorado with his wife, JoAnn and their friends. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, JoAnn Freeman Stocks, of Gilmer; sister, Maxine Mora, of Gilmer; four children, daughter, Susan Echols and husband, Grady, daughter Jan Cross and husband, Jim; son, Michael Stocks and wife, Jennifer, and son, David Stocks and wife, DeLois; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
