Gloria Jean Crumpton

Funeral services for Gloria Jean Crumpton, age 85, of Gladewater, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2018 at Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater, 401 N. Center St. Gladewater, TX 75647, with Rev. Roger Gage officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Ringgold, LA, 71068. With William “Max” Bozeman, Ralph Coleman, Jeffrey Wheeler, D.J. Ponder, Austin Medina, and Tim Selman serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Gloria was born in Joaquin, Texas on June 17, 1933 to the late Price Warren Foster and Eva Lois (Bates) Foster. She was a retired special education teacher, working in Louisiana and Gladewater ISD. She was a devoted member of Clarksville City Baptist Church. Gloria loved to attend gospel singings, and share her sewing talents with her family and friends. She was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, who was loved and cherished by her family, friends, and even new friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 29 years, Mr. Clyde Crumpton, Sr. in 1994; a son, Dennis Wayne Reynolds; infant brother, Larkin Bryant Foster; and sister, Wanda Reed.
She is survived by her son, Clyde Crumpton, Jr., and wife Tammy of Gladewater; daughter, Barbara Bozeman and husband Andrew of Gladewater; sister, Evelyn Ponder of Longview; grandchildren, Jeremy Crumpton, Brittany Crumpton, William “Max” Bozeman, Bruce Bozeman, Tina Bozeman Coleman, Michael Bozeman, Kerrie LeBlanc, Heather Cawthon, Cody Wilburn, Devon Brean, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
