Yevon "Bonnie" Miller was born on September 9, 1922 in Upshur County, Texas to William and Stella Thompson, and died on April 30, 2013 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, JC Miller; her parents, William and Stella Thompson, four sisters, Axar Tucker, Elsie Langford, Bertie Williams, Inez O"Neal; four brothers, Martin, Emmitt, Lester, and Paul Thompson and two grandchildren, Lonald Miller and Carrie Miller. She is survived by her sister, Algree Shoulders of Tyler, TX, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Garry and Bonnie Miller of Rosewood, Mike and Laura Miller of Hollylake Ranch, Danny and Becky Miller of Rosewood, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Little Mound Baptist Church. She was known by the community as "Granny Miller." She retired from the cafeteria at Harmony ISD with over 25 years of service. She loved being outdoors, working in her garden, and camping and fishing. She was especially fond of trips with her sister Inez O"Neal to Red River, New Mexico. Funeral Services will be held at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas on Saturday, May 4 at 10 am. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.
