Grady B. Jones Jr.

Services for Grady B. Jones, Jr., 71, of Big Sandy, will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 11 A.M. at Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy. Born on March 26, 1942, in Hedley, Texas, he died on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He received his bachelor*s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler and was a purchasing agent and plant scheduler for East Texas Containers for thirty-five years. He was a member of the American Legion in Mineola and the Masonic Lodge in Tyler. He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Sue Jones of Big Sandy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Sheila Cemer of Spring, Texas; Paul and Katie Cemer of Houston; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Kelly Richmond of Palestine; six grandchildren, Ethan Cemer, Emy Cemer, Clarissa Cemer, Derek Cemer, Lauren Allen, and Clayton Richmond; and several precious great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Troy and Carol Jones of Amarillo; Bobby Jones of Chandler; and many loving nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his loving family, his many devoted friends, and his fishing buddies. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, August 16, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
