Services for Henry McQueen, 83, of Gilmer, will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday November 7, 2012, First Baptist Church in Gilmer with Dwight Brannon, Larry W. Osborne and Reverend Ricky Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mr. McQueen passed away on Monday, November 05, 2012 in Gilmer. He was born on November 1, 1929, in Trinity County, Texas to Cary and Pearl Mansel McQueen. Mr. McQueen lived in Gilmer for 53 years. He brought White Automotive to Gilmer and then established Gilmer Tire and Automotive which later became H & D Hardware and Automotive. Mr. McQueen was also a dairy farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Nadine McQueen of Gilmer; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kelly McQueen of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and David Warren of Gilmer; brother, William Paul McQueen and his wife, Nina of Pasadena, TX; sisters, Lillian Paduh of Grapeland, Lucille Land and husband, Roy of Groveton; five grandchildren, Taylor McQueen, Jackson McQueen, Brennan Warren, Sarah Warren and Peyton Warren. Mr. McQueen was preceded in death by his brother C. W. McQueen, Jr. and sister, Mary Alice McQueen. Pallbearers are Brennan Warren, Jackson McQueen, Samuel Jones, Billy Jones, Jeff McQueen and Donald McQueen. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Youngblood, James Anderson, Leon Anderson, Robert Jones, Bryant Jones, Brad Jones, David Warren, Scott Sisson, Matt Johnson, Ray Culberson and Arnold Grimes. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Eugene Foster for his years of friendship and care and to the Dr. Lewis Duncan, Dr. C. R. Martin and Cr. Charles Newkirk. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beacon Hospice at Margaret"s House, P.O. Box 5908, Longview, Texas 75608.
