Hugh Lee Sharp

Graveside services for Hugh Lee Sharp, 90, of Big Sandy will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Gladewater Memorial Park in Gladewater with Reverend David Havir officiating. Mr. Sharp passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Tyler.

Mr. Sharp was born May 17, 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late William Richard and Gertrude Sharp. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Sharp was retired as a service station owner and as an independent truck driver. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather who leaves behind many loving family and friends to cherish his memory.

He is survived by his loving wife Doris Sharp; two sons Richard L. Sharp and wife Sandra and Frank Carpenter; two daughters Paula Ferguson and Mary Langley and husband Randy; sister Anna Booher; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends.

Mr. Sharp is preceded in death y his parents; daughters Linda Sharp Jordan and Nancy Ann Sharp; brothers Major Sharp and Carl Sharp and a grandchild.
