Ima Joyce Creswell

Memorial services for Joyce Creswell will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer.

Peaceful rest came to Ima Joyce Creswell on Friday evening, June 10, 2022. Joyce was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, to Orville and Lucille Flowers.

She is survived by three sons, Jimmie Creswell of Harleton, Texas, Johnnie Creswell and wife, Bobbie of Kaufman, Texas, Jerry Creswell and wife, Mary of Gilmer; and one daughter, Cathy Johnson of Gilmer. She was also a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Creswell, two granddaughters and a great granddaughter.

During her working years, Joyce had multiple jobs including alarm inspection, and worked at the Gilmer Pottery for many years until it closed. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren along with her love of music, family gatherings and the occasional trip to the casinos to play slots.

Joyce will be truly missed by her family and all that knew her.
