Jack Treadwell

Graveside services for Jack T. Treadwell, 93, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Treadwell passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in Gilmer and was born on October 19, 1923 in Jefferson to Patrick and Cora Treadwell. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a steel worker for Lone Star Steel. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing and hunting in Cypress Creek bottom. Mr. Treadwell was married to Leona Morris Treadwell. He is survived by his wife, Leona Treadwell of Gilmer; son, Jeff Treadwell and wife Julie, of Big Sandy; sister, Nadine Joseph of Jefferson; grandchildren, Deira Wagner, Darcy Seahorn and husband Jeremy, Deisha Trimble and husband Chad, Dana Farr and husband Jeremy, and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Cora Treadwell and his sisters, Jean Newman and Patsy Treadwell. No formal visitation will be held.
